Welcome back to another Caribbean-inspired recipe!

I love finding a new way to utilize my favorite homemade Jerk seasoning. I've taken a lot of time and care in perfecting the recipe, so it's important that I find exciting foods to use it with!

After a little brainstorming, I realized that potato wedges could be utilized in this way. That's how Crispy Baked Jerk Potato Wedges were born! Crispy potatoes are coated in oil and a liberal dusting of my homemade Jerk seasoning blend! Spicy, sweet, and savory, these wedges are the best you'll ever have!

If Jerk seasoning is too hot for you generally, try cooling your mouth down with sour cream, ranch, or ketchup!

Can I Air-Fry These Wedges?

While I made these potatoes originally in the oven, this recipe will also work in your air fryer.

I have found that cooking with an air fryer is fast and fairly easy. Air fryers tend to get hotter and have better air circulation than your oven, so the wedgies might need a slightly shorter cook time.

If air frying, check on the potatoes every 10 minutes to shake the potatoes so they do not stick. After 30 mins, check for doneness every few minutes. Both the oven and the air fryer make excellent crispy potatoes!

How to Make Crispy Baked Jerk Potato Wedges

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.

Rinse and pat dry each potato and cut lengthways into halves and then in halves lengthways again, and then one last time----this should create a "wedge-like" shape. You should have about 6-8 pieces of wedges when done for each potato. Repeat until all potatoes are cut.

In a bowl, add together the jerk seasonings and olive oil, stirring until combined.

Add the cut wedge slices of potatoes into a large bowl and pour the jerk seasoning mixture atop, mixing everything together with your hands until wedges are fully coated.

Transfer the wedges to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the wedges are golden and crisp.

NOTE: Test the doneness of potatoes by using a fork to insert into the centers. If it goes through easily, they are done.

Remove from the oven and serve with a side of your favorite dairy-free sauce. My dairy-free Garlic Lime Sauce goes well with these wedges!

Bon Appetit!
