Let's set the record straight--- I think Brussels sprouts have a bad rap and deserve some love, especially when they're crispy and bursting with flavor. Italian seasoning works wonders with Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts—I just had to share! Even my little boy couldn't resist them, which says a lot! Trust me, these sprouts are absolute perfection, and they're sure to win over even the pickiest eaters!

Lately, I've been hooked on my air fryer—it's seriously a game-changer. I whipped up some Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan French Fries and Air Fryer Jamaican Jerk Potato Wedges recently, and let me tell you, they were absolute winners! If you've ever had doubts about Brussels sprouts—even if you've resisted the allure of Everything Brussels Sprouts + Mozzarella Hand Pies—the air fryer might just change your mind.

These Brussels sprouts are seriously AMAZING—crispy, crunchy, and oh-so-tender inside, loaded with flavor that you can totally customize. I went for Italian seasoning, but you could try Cajun, lemon pepper, or even my latest obsession, blackened seasoning. As for toppings, I like a sprinkle of Parmesan, but maple syrup adds sweetness, or balsamic for a tangy twist. Perfect as a snack or side dish, they're a hit with both grown-ups + kids!

What Is An Air-Fryer?

An air fryer is like having a magical kitchen sidekick! Picture this: it cooks your favorite foods by swirling hot air around them, creating that crispy goodness you love without all the excess oil. From crispy fries to juicy chicken wings and more, it's a game-changer in the kitchen. My favorite is the Instant Vortex Plus, but feel free to use whatever you have. And if you don't have an air fryer, don't worry—I'll share below how to achieve crispy Brussels sprouts with an oven too!

How To Trim Brussels Sprouts

For this easy Brussels Sprouts Air Fryer recipe, it's best to trim and halve the Brussels sprouts. Use a knife to remove the tough stem end of each sprout, and discard any yellow or damaged leaves. Then, simply cut each sprout in half lengthwise. This step ensures that they cook evenly and soak up all the delicious flavors!

Tips + Tricks For The Best Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts

Here are some handy tips and tricks to ensure you get the best Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts every time:

Prep is Key - Trim and halve the Brussels sprouts for even cooking and crispy results.

Dry thoroughly - After washing, pat the Brussels sprouts completely dry to help them crisp up nicely.

Don't overcrowd!!! Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer in the air fryer basket to allow air circulation.

Season generously - Don't be shy with your seasoning! Experiment with different flavors to find your fave combo I LOVE using Italian seasoning but feel free to experiment with Jerk Dry Rub Seasoning, Taco Seasoning, Blackened Seasoning, and Cajun Seasoning.

Keep an eye on them - Adjust the cooking time as needed based on your preferred level of crispiness.

Serve them up immediately so they're hot and crispy, giving you the best taste and texture!

Can I Use An Oven Instead Of An Air Fryer?

You bet! Simply preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and follow the instructions as you would. Pop them in the oven for roughly 25-30 minutes, giving them a flip halfway through, until they're crispy and golden brown. Don't hesitate to tweak the time and temperature to your liking. Oven-roasting gives you that crispy goodness and amazing flavor it just takes a little longer.
