I've whipped up this Creamy Avocado Pesto Mayo Sauce recipe totally dairy-free + egg-free just like most of my sauce creations, so everyone can enjoy the goodness.

The avocado takes the creaminess factor to the next level, plus you have the option to whip up your own homemade pesto or grab a jar from the store. I use a vegan mayo but you can also just opt for your favorite mayo--- whatever works for you!

Let me tell you, it's my absolute favorite for salads, sandwiches, burgers + tacos—pretty much anything. Ingredients

Avocado Pesto Mayo Sauce:

  • Vegan mayonnaise. I love using Follow Your Heart Veganaise. It is super creamy and smooth but feel free to add your fave if you prefer.
  • Pesto sauce. Either homemade or you can also use store-bought pesto.
  • Hass avocado. It's important that it's hass for the best creaminess.
  • Almond milk. Helps to make the sauce creamier. You can use your fave plant-based milk. Learn how to make homemade almond milk!
  • Garlic powder. A strong flavor that I love using for depth + umami flavor.
  • Black pepper + sea salt. Rounds out the flavors!

Ingredients

SAUCE:

  • ½ cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsps Homemade Pesto Sauce (You can also use store-bought pesto)
  • 1 organic Hass avocado, pitted + halved
  • ½ tablespoon Almond milk
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of sea salt, for taste

Instructions

TO MAKE THE SAUCE:

  • Add the vegan mayo, milk, pesto sauce, avocado, garlic powder, and salt + black pepper to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. NOTE: For a thinner, smoother consistency, add additional milk if needed----1 tablespoon at a time.
  • Add the sauce to your favorite mason jar or tightly sealed container and refrigerate for 7-10 days for optimal freshness.
