HAPPY 1-YEAR, YA'LL!
It's officially our 1-Year Blogiversary and we're so excited to have been on this food blogging journey with you for an ENTIRE YEAR. That's 365 days. Can you believe it? Boy, has time flew!
More importantly, we want to thank everyone who has been with us thus far (both NEW + OLD) because Orchids + Sweet Tea would be nothing without ya'll! We're so grateful!
OK, now let's celebrate the fact that it's also Friday, right? Who else is happy that the weekend has finally arrived? I know that I am!
Usually, I spend my weekends testing out recipes and creating the perfect magical food dish. Haha. How exciting, right? Seriously, I really do enjoy creating sweets and food recipes, even in the midst of challenges.
In celebration of our 1-Year mark, here are a few of our FIRST few recipes on Orchids + Sweet Tea:
Spicy Tomato Chickpea Sauce + Baked Chicken
Butter Pecan + Almond Ice Cream
Chicken Spinach + Broccoli Gluten-Free pizza
Loaded Nachos: Chicken + Black Beans
And then there is our top rated recipe, our Fluffy Cinnamon Vegan Belgian Waffles which is one of our mostly viewed foods.
While it's been a crazy ride in the midst of this food journey with a few tweaks here and there, I can truly say that Orchids + Sweet Tea's new direction is the best fit for what we believe in.
One thing you should know: We're here to prove that you can have your cake + eat it too…It’s all about recreating your favorites through the use of healthier ingredients.
So, if you're into eating a vegan diet, you can find some great recipes in our Vegan Bites section.
Start by adding the So Delicious cashew milk very vanilla ice cream, your favorite non-dairy milk (I used So Delicious as well), and vanilla extract, to a blender and blend on medium-high speed, until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
In the meantime, roughly chop pecans and dairy-free peanut butter cups to use as garnish and set aside.
Once milkshake consistency is met, pour milkshake into tall glasses, and top each milkshake with CocoWhip! (also from So Delicious) and chopped pecans along with peanut butter cup bits, if desired.
Sip away and enjoy!
