Plus, because it's totally alcohol-free, it's something that can be enjoyed with the entire family. Oh and if you're looking to get that grassy, smoky aroma, and bright fire that tequila often exudes ----no worries! I love using Ritual Zero Proof, which has AMAZING alcohol-free alternatives to actual alcohol flavors to help bring together your mocktails in a great way and their Tequila Alternative is perfect for this particular kombucha-infused mocktail.

Either way, everyone is guaranteed to love these! Be sure to watch all recipes via IG Reels for a nice visual!

This Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail Won't Disappoint!

And if you're in the mood for something tropical with a hint of fruity, then I recommend trying my Pineapple Jalapeño Lime Mocktail because it's the best balance between sweet + spicy.

Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail is super easy to make, requires just a handful of ingredients, comes whipped together in 5 minutes, and is the perfect balance between refreshing + the right amount of sweetness. For a smooth, refreshing flavor + texture, I recommend using a 100% organic mango juice like Lakewood Organic's version, which is a nice addition by the way! However, you can always use your fave mango or mango lemonade blend.

What is Kombucha?

Basically, Kombucha is a fermented drink made by adding bacteria and yeast to a mixture black or green tea and sugar. In the recent years, it has become increasingly popular. Personally, I enjoy drinking GT's Synergy Kombucha which are high-quality and comes in an array of flavors.

Is Kombucha Good For Gut Health?

Yes, actually! Kombuacha and other fermented foods are full of antioxidants and and probiotics, which help with digestion. According to research, the live bacteria in Kombucha actually boosts the health of the intestinal cells and help to make the body more efficient.

How to Make Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail

The first thing you can make for these mocktails for a fancy/fun feel is the ice cubes, if you don't plan on using regular crushed ice. You can literally add blueberries, + rosemary sprig pieces in your favorite ice cube tray, top with mango juice + lemon juice, set it and forget it for a minimum of 3-4 hours (or overnight) until ice cubes are formed.

Then, you whip together the mocktail ingredients and assemble. Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients for Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail

Here’s what you need for these Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktails:

  • Mango Juice. The use of fresh organic 100% mango juice makes this mocktail smooth and perfectly naturally sweetened for the perfect 'sip. I love using Lakewood Organics or Santa Cruz (they have a mango lemonade version). However, you can always use your fave brand or make your own homemade version.
  • Lemon juice. I like to use freshly-squeezed lemon juice, but if you don't have a juicer and don't want to struggle with so many lemon, you can also use store-bought.
  • Kombucha. I like to use organic premium Kombucha like GT's Synergy, which adds loads of antioxidants + probiotics to this mocktail. I used their mango flavor for additional fruitiness, but you can use a ginger-based flavor or your favorite flavor that pairs nicely with mango (i.e. strawberry, pineapple, etc.)
  • Blueberries. Top your mocktails with fresh blueberries. But this is totally optional. You can sub with pineapple, peach, orange, and strawberries.
  • Alcohol alternative. I truly enjoy creating a true cocktail feel without the alcohol, therefore, I've been loving Ritual Zero Proof's alcohol alternatives. I used their Tequila alliterative which adds a nice grassy, smoky aroma. If preferred, you can sub with ginger beer or your fave frizz for a nice finish.
  • Garnish. This creates a nice, fancy experience for your mocktails. I love using lemon wedges (they're great roasted too), fresh blueberries, salt or sugar for the rims, and fresh rosemary sprigs.

What Alcohol is Best for this Mocktail?

If you’d like to serve this as a cocktail, you can add your favorite alcohol to the mixture. The best alcohol for this mocktail is tequila, which is a slightly spicier liquor----making it perfect for fruity drinks. As I stated before, Ritual Zero Proff has a delicious Tequila alternative to bring this drink together. However, these other types of alcohols (just about 1 ounce or so) can work great with this Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail flavor combo also:

  • Gin
  • Tequila
  • Vodka
  • Rum
  • Champagne
  • Whiskey

Why You'll Love This Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail

First and foremost, the flavors in this simple and easy Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail is enough to convince anyone, however, here are a few more reasons why you'll love this recipe:

  • It's Very Similar to the real 'feel' of a cocktail. Yes, while this mocktail doesn't have actual alcohol, I promise that it's just as complex in flavor, with a slight "burn" (very minimal), and tasty as any cocktail----obviously with additional bold flavors from the tart + sweet flavors and the nice Kombucha fizz. Of course, you can always add a nice alcohol-free cocktail option from Ritual Zero Proof.
  • It's super fun to make! I literally love the creation of the ice cubes and the shaking of all of the ingredients the cocktail shaker and the ice cube creation process too!
  • You save money! This by far is one of my biggest reasons for making my own drinks at home (minus the last point to come). You definitely save more money purchasing the ingredients and making your own servings at home.
  • It's healthier. Most of all, this is my biggest plus! I love when I am able to know what ingredients I use whenever making drinks, cooking, or baking. Making my mocktails and drinks in general at home has definitely allowed me to switch to healthier, organic ingredients (like adding Kombucha) which is a win, win!

Why Kombucha? Any Other Health Benefits?

The great news is that Kombucha has many health benefits besides gut health which include:

  • May help boost metabolism
  • May aide in constipation
  • May help strength your Immune system
  • May boost cardiovascular health
  • May promote liver health
  • Help to lower blood sugar
  • and more!

How to Make your Own Mango Juice.

If you'd prefer to make your own mango juice instead of using a store-bought version or you just have mangoes on hand that you need to get rid of, no worries! You can definitely make your own juice for this mocktail by doing the steps below. You'll need: 2 medium ripe mangoes (peeled + cubed), 2 Tbsps of maple syrup, 2 cups filtered water.

To make in a blender: Add all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend on high-speed until smooth. Pour juice through strainer and into a bowl or pitcher and chill until ready to use.

How to Make Clear Ice Cubes without a Clear Ice Cube Mold

One of the greatest phenomenons when it comes to ice cubes has been seeing super clear ice cubes from those clear ice cube systems or molds and wanting to try it, but not necessarily wanting to have a huge contraption in my freezer. Haha. Anyone else feel my pain? Whelp, no need to worry----I've done my research and tested it out a bit and have found some solutions to help those of us who don't have any fancy system to making clear ice cubes. Here are a few ways:

Tip #1: It's best to use water that is distilled or super filtered to avoid gasses and dissolved oxygen, which are the two things that cause our ice to "fog up" when frozen.

Tip #2: Boil your water and freeze your water hot. Again, much to my previous point, this removes any dissolved oxygen or gasses. Just be sure to carefully pour the hot water into your ice cube tray or mold-----preferably one made from materials that naturally insulates like silicone. Also, ensure that your tray lays FLAT while freezing.

Tip #3: Slow freeze your ice cubes. This should be done for about 24 hours, which allows any impurities to be forced out of the ice---resulting in much clearer ice.

Garnishes for Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail

I’m all about big, edible garnishes in my mocktails. Here’s what I like to add to glasses:

  • Mango cubes or wedges. If you prefer a nice pronounced mango flavor, I would grill or char them before adding them to the rim of the glass(es). You can also use mango chunks for inside your mocktail, if preferred.
  • Lemon wedges. You can always slice the lemon thin or into thick wedges for a fun look. Roasting them adds another depth of flavor as well.
  • Blueberries. For a nice flavor combo, adding blueberries works great with mango.
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs. You could also use mint or thyme sprigs for an added herby touch.

Creating Additional Mocktail Servings

This Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail recipe serves two. But you’ll probably want more and I can’t blame you! You can easily double or triple the recipe to serve a crowd or your entire family.

The mango lemonade + blueberry mixture makes about 10 decent-sized (medium) ice cubes or 4 large circular ice cubes. The amount depends on the size of your ice cubes.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 2 servings

Ingredients

BLUEBERRY MANGO LEMONADE ICE CUBES:

  • 2 cups mango juice, organic (I love Santa Cruz or Lakewood Organic)
  • 2 lemons, freshly-squeezed
  • 1 cup fresh organic blueberries
  • 4 rosemary sprigs, chopped into pieces

MOCKTAILS:

  • 4 oz. alcohol alternative (I love using Ritual Zero Proof's Tequila alternative for an alcohol-free option)
  • 12 oz. Kombucha (I love GTS Mango flavor)
  • 1-2 cups mango lemonade (You can use a store-bought blend or mix together mango + lemon juice)
  • Blueberry Mango Lemonade Ice Cubes

GARNISH:

  • Fresh rosemary sprigs
  • Lemon wedges (For a bit of fanciness, I like to roast them!)
  • Fresh blueberries

Instructions

TO MAKE THE ICE CUBES:

  • In a bowl, mix together the mango juice and freshly-squeezed lemon juice.
  • In your favorite ice tray----add the blueberries and chopped rosemary sprigs into each cavity and carefully cover them with the mango-lemon mixture, filling them until all completely full. Repeat until all ice cube cavities are filled. Add the tray(s) to the freezer and freeze for 3-4 hours (or overnight) until ice is formed.

TO MAKE THE MOCKTAILS:

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the mango lemonade, Kombucha, and alcohol alternative, shaking vigorously to combine.
  • Assemble the mocktail(s): For each mocktail, fill a good cocktail glass (11 oz. or so) with Blueberry Mango Lemonade ice cubes and pour the Kombucha-mango lemonade mixture until ¾ filled. Add lemon wedges and blueberries, inside your mocktail and fresh rosemary sprigs, if desired. NOTE: To be a bit fancy, you can add salt or sugar around the rim(s) of glass(es).
  • Sip and Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks

  • SERVING SIZE: To make additional mocktails, simply double or triple ingredients, depending on need.
  • ALCOHOL: If you'd like to keep this recipe amazing, but want to spruce things up with alcohol, feel free to add 1 ounce of rum, vodka, tequila, etc.
  • ALCOHOL ALTERNATIVE: If you don't have any Ritual Zero Proof on hand or would rather omit it, simply sub with ginger beer or your fave fizz.
  • EQUIPMENT: Here, I’ve curated a list of drinkware and mocktail essentials that I use to achieve my favorite drinking experiences, especially with this Mango Lemonade Kombucha Mocktail. Everything from my fave glassware, cocktail shakers, ice cube trays, and more. SEE THEM HERE!
  • RIM(S): To make things more fancy, I love to add sea salt or cane sugar to the rim of my glass(es). To do this, you'll simply need to wet the rims a bit with a lime wedge and then turned facing down, slightly moving it around in the sugar or salt until covered.
