How To Make Detox Green Tea Shots

Crafting your own nutritious and delightful green tea shots is as easy as two simple elements!

MAKING THE GREEN TEA:

  • Start by adding the filtered water to medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring it to a boil. Add your tea bags and let everything continue to boil for another 1-2 minutes. Turn off the heat and let tea bags continue to steep for about 5-10 minutes. NOTE: The longer that the tea bags steep, the stronger the flavor. You can let them steep up to 30 minutes before it begins to get bitter. Finally, add in the honey, stir to combine. Let cool completely!

MAKING THE DETOX SHOTS:

  • In a high-powered blender, add the orange slices, lemon juice, cooled green tea mixture, ginger, and cinnamon, blending on high-speed until combined and everything is broken down------about 2-3 minutes.
  • Strain the blended mixture into a bowl or large measuring cup to remove any pulp.
  • Then, safely pour your detox shots into your fave glass, jars, or mini glass bottles----as great meal prep!
  • Sip and Enjoy!

What is A Detox?

Detoxification, often referred to as a "detox," is a process that involves assisting the body in getting rid of harmful substances and toxins that may accumulate over time due to factors such as diet, lifestyle, and environmental exposure.

The goal of a detox is to support the body's natural mechanisms for eliminating these unwanted substances, promoting a sense of rejuvenation, improved well-being, and overall health. The Green Tea Detox Shot is a way to support this through its natural cleansing properties.

Is Green Tea Healthy?

Absolutely, green tea is a fantastic choice for your health! It's like a cup of nature's goodness, brimming with antioxidants, especially one called EGCG. EGCG is a natural compound found in green tea that acts as a shield for your cells, helping to keep them healthy by preventing damage from harmful molecules.

Green Tea Benefits

  • Loaded with antioxidants that help fight cell damage.
  • Support heart health by reducing cholesterol levels and promoting healthy blood vessels.
  • Helps with digestion and eases minor stomach discomfort.
  • Boosts metabolism and aid in weight loss efforts.
  • Its combination of caffeine and L-theanine enhances focus and cognitive function.
  • Helps regulate blood sugar levels and improve insulin sensitivity.

Does Green Tea Have Caffeine?

Are you wondering does green tea have caffeine? The answer is yes, green tea does have caffeine but don't worry, it's not as intense as a coffee jolt. It gives you a gentle nudge of natural energy.

The touch of caffeine in the detox shot from green tea gives you a little boost to kickstart your day. It's like a friendly nudge for your energy levels. So, while you're sipping on all that detox goodness, the caffeine adds a sprinkle of pep to your step!

What's The Benefit Of Lemon Juice?

Lemon juice in this green tea detox recipe serves two purposes. Firstly, it imparts a revitalizing citrusy taste, and secondly, it supplies vitamin C, an antioxidant that boosts the immune system. Additionally, it promotes an alkaline balance within the body.
