It feels like Autumn is upon us!

Every year once the temperature cools, I like to focus on a summer detox. Autumn is usually the beginning of cozy clothes, heavy food, and evenings by the fire. Sometimes, you need a light detox to get yourself ready for fall fun.

And since fall is apple season, I love to use my excess apples and pears to make my Citrus Ginger Pear Detox Infused Water, which is a fruity delight with warming spices and citrus. This healthy drink displays the delicious flavors of Autumn while providing tons of nutrients to the body.

Detox water is so yummy! It is especially great for kids because this drink has the flavor of juice without any of the added sugar. Plus, detox water is so versatile. You can add any fresh fruit or spices that you like to make a custom recipe!

Does Detox Water Actually Work?

There is a bit of a debate about whether or not detox water is credible. You may also see ads for detox diets, which is the incorporation of naturally detoxifying foods into your everyday diet while omitting processed foods.

Water is hydrating and essential for a healthy body. Good hydration is associated with less inflammation, a healthier gut, and an improved urinary tract. By adding fresh fruit and spices to water, you are infusing the water with more vitamins and minerals, leading to a healthier drink.

Whether or not detox water actually detoxes the body is still up for discussion. However, this Citrus Ginger Pear Detox Infused Water has healthy ingredients and is ultra-hydrating. That in itself is enough for me to keep drinking detox water!

Detox Water Variations

This Citrus Ginger Pear Detox Infused Water has fall-inspired flavors due to the time of the year, but there are endless flavor combinations for detox water. Think about your favorite fruits, herbs, and spices to come up with a detox water recipe of your own!

Berries and mint make for a fabulous flavor profile. You could also do rosemary and cranberry-infused water around the holidays. During the summer, infuse your water with the freshest farmer's market fruit that you can find.

No matter the flavor combination, make your own detox water with your favorite ingredients. You'll be shocked at how yummy it is!
