What is A Mocktail?

So if you're sitting here thinking, what is a mocktail? Let me explain. A mocktail is like a party in a glass, minus the hangover. It's a delicious and refreshing drink that's packed with all the flavor and complexity of a traditional cocktail but without any of alcohol.

Whether you're a designated driver, a health-conscious human, or just someone who wants to enjoy a delicious drink without the buzz, mocktails are the perfect solution.

How To Make Peach Lime Margarita Mocktails

Simply toss all your ingredients, including those pre-frozen peaches, into a high-powered blender and blend away! Once it's smooth, pour it into your glasses, then get creative with your favorite garnishes. It's as easy as that—sip and enjoy!

Ingredients

Here's what you need for these frozen margarita mocktails:

PEACH MARGARITAS:

  • Frozen peaches. You can find these in the grocery store, or slice and freeze fresh peaches at home.
  • Lime juice. Lemon or orange juice will also work.
  • Pineapple juice. If you prefer a less sweet drink or don't have pineapple juice, substitute with coconut water.
  • Agave. You could also sweeten the mocktails with honey or maple syrup if you prefer.
  • Ginger. This is optional, but adds a sophisticated, peppery flavor to the drinks.

Garnish Ideas For Frozen Peach Margaritas

To put a finishing touch on your frosty mocktail here are some of my favorite garnish ideas:

  • Lime wedges
  • Mint leaves
  • Rosemary sprigs
  • A rim dipped in sugar or salt for added sweetness or savory flair.
  • Fresh sliced peaches add an extra pizazz as well!
  • Edible flowers
  • Pineapple wedges or chunks for an extra fruity boost.
  • A slice of jalapeño for a hint of heat (if you like it spicy!).

How To Sweeten Peach Margarita Mocktails

I opted for agave in this recipe, but you can also sweeten your Frozen Peach Margaritas with alternatives like honey or a simple syrup. And if you're a fan of that rich, maple flavor, maple syrup works beautifully too! See the Best Healthy Sugar Alternatives + Substitutes list it's all about finding better ways to enjoy your favorite sweets without compromising your healthy lifestyle.

Can I Add Alcohol To These Peach Margaritas?

If you’d like to serve this as a cocktail you can add your favorite alcohol to the mixture. The best alcohol for a classic margarita is tequila, which is a slightly grassy, smoky liquor----making it perfect for fruity drinks. However, these other types of alcohols (just about 1 ounce or so) can work great with this frozen margarita flavor combo also:

  • Gin
  • Rum
  • Vodka

Peach Lime Margarita Mocktail Q + A's

How many servings does this mocktail recipe make?

This recipe makes two mocktails.

Can I make a bigger batch of this peach margarita recipe?

To make these alcohol-free drinks for a crowd, simply scale the recipe up as needed. You may need to add more liquid to help things blend in a full blender.
If you're serving these over some time, it's best to keep the pitcher in the fridge or on ice so things don't melt.

How do you add garnish to rim(s)?

To make things more fancy, I love to add coconut flakes, sea salt or cane sugar to the rim of my glass(es). To do this, you'll simply need to wet the rims a bit with a lime wedge and then turned facing down, slightly moving it around in the sugar or salt until covered.

Can I use fresh peaches instead of frozen?

Yes! You can feel free to use freshly sliced peaches in these mocktails, but you'll need to add about 2 cups or so of ice to make things more of a frozen consistency.

How do you keep these mocktails frozen for a party?

Once you've blended everything together, pour them into individual jars or glasses (½ pint jars work great for individual servings). Then cover them with their lids (for easier storage) and put them in the freezer, leaving them in the freezer until you're ready to serve them.
