Tips For Making The Best Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs

  • Start with room-temperature eggs. Let your eggs sit out for about 10-15 minutes before cooking to ensure even cooking.
  • Play around with the cooking time to find your preferred doneness. Air fryers differ in strength and wattage, so try different times to see what works for you. Once you've nailed it, stick with those settings for future batches.
  • A Ice water bath is KEY to stop the eggs from overcooking. You don't have to cool the eggs, but I always suggest giving them a rinse under cold water or popping them in an ice bath. It quickly stops the cooking process.
  • Elevate the eggs. If your air fryer doesn't have a basket, no worries! You can use a grill rack or mesh rack instead. It'll still let the air circulate quickly around the eggs, ensuring they cook evenly.
  • Meal prep. Air fryer hard boiled eggs are sp great for meal prep—they'll keep in the fridge for up to a week! Once you nail cooking these, you can whip up big batches!
