The greatest mocktail ever has arrived! Your next holiday bash needs this Spiced Maple Citrus Pear Mocktail, made with roasted fruit, maple, and tons of citrus. Perfect for any non-drinkers at your soiree!
Mocktails are for all year long, but, my favorite time of year to make them is winter.
Winter mocktails have endless flavor combinations, look beautiful, and go perfectly with any large Christmas roast.
With pears and oranges readily available, I love to make this easy Spiced Maple Citrus Pear Mocktail. It has a smoky-sweet flavor from home-roasted fruit, ginger beer, and warming spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg.
Your guests will love this mocktail! And for the people who drink, feel free to add alcoholic ginger beer to their cocktail!
We all know that roasted vegetables are common and delicious, but have you ever thought about roasting your fruit?
Roasting intensifies the flavor of whatever you are cooking. The outside of the food caramelizes while the natural sugars brown and get delicious in the oven.
That means roasting makes sweet fruit even sweeter, with a more complex and nuanced flavor. By roasting the pears and oranges with spices in this Spiced Maple Citrus Pear Mocktail, you get a well-developed and unique balance.
To roast fruit, use the same method as roasting veg. First, coat in olive oil. Then, roast in a preheated oven until the fruit is caramelized!
Don't believe me? Try it for yourself!

To Roast the Fruit:
First, arrange a rack in the middle of the oven and heat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, add the maple syrup, olive oil, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, mixing everything together until combined. Then, add in the sliced pears and oranges, tossing them together until the fruit is coated.
Next, transfer to the baking sheet and arrange in the single layer and bake until the fruit is golden-brown and knife tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Remove from the oven.
To Make the Mocktails:
In a bowl, mix together the water, orange juice, maple syrup, and cinnamon.
For each drink, fill an 8-ounce glass halfway with crushed ice. Add ½ cup of the mocktail mixture. Finally, garnish with sliced oranges and pears, and top with ginger beer until filled completely. Add a rosemary sprig if desired.
Sip and Enjoy!
