MILKSHAKE:
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream, organic
- 1 cup Almond milk (You can use regular dairy milk or your fave plant-based milk!)
- handful of Oreo cookies (That's about 8-10 cookies)
- Pinch of sea salt
TOPPINGS:
- Whipped cream, homemade or store-bought (See Notes!)
- Crushed Oreo cookies
TO MAKE THE MILKSHAKES:
Add the vanilla ice cream, milk, Oreo cookies, and salt, to a high-powered blender and blend on medium-high speed, until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
Once milkshake consistency is met, pour milkshake into tall glass(es), and top each milkshake with whipped cream and crushed Oreo cookies, if desired.
Add a straw and sip away and enjoy!
- HOMEMADE WHIPPED CREAM: In the bowl of an electric mixer on medium-high speed, whip the COLD heavy cream (2-3 cups), using the whisk attachment for 4-5 minutes, until fluffy peaks begin to form. **NOTE: When it begins to thicken after the first 2-3 minutes, gradually add in 1 tablespoon vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.** Once fully fluffy, remove from mixer bowl and continue recipe.
- HEALTHIER SANDWICH COOKIES: If you aren't a fan of traditional Oreos, you can always use Back to Nature's Creme Cookies which are great!
- VEGAN OPTION: To make this recipe vegan, simply ensure that your Oreo cookies are vegan. Many of their flavors are, but always double check. Also, make sure that you use plant-based milk, dairy-free ice cream, and coconut whipped cream.
