Ingredients

BRUSSELS SPROUTS:

  • 1 lb. organic Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon Extra virgin olive oil (You can also use avocado oil or grapeseed oil)
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning, homemade or store-bought
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

OPTIONAL TOPPINGS:

  • Freshly-grated parmesan cheese
  • Pure maple syrup, drizzle
  • Balsamic vinegar, drizzle
  • Lemon zest

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer to 375 degrees and lightly spray the basket with cooking spray to keep the Brussels sprouts from sticking.

PREP THE BRUSSELS SPROUTS:

  • In a bowl, soak the Brussels sprouts in water + vinegar for 5-10 minutes before draining and rinsing them. Pat dry and remove 1 layer of the skin from each Brussels sprouts and slice each one in half. Repeat until all Brussels sprouts are prepped.
  • In a bowl, add the prepped Brussels sprouts, oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and smoked paprika, stirring until combined and fully coated.
  • Transfer the Brussels sprouts to the prepared basket and cook for 8-10 minutes or until Brussels sprouts are golden and crispy.
  • Serve by adding grated parmesan, drizzles of maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, or lemon zest, if desired.
  • Bon Appetit!

Notes

  • STORAGE: Place any leftovers in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. To reheat, you can do so easily in an air fryer or oven at 350 degrees for about 5-10 minutes or until warmed through.
  • FREEZE: Place cooked + fully cooled Brussels sprouts in an airtight freezer-safe container and store in the freezer for up to 12 months. Let roasted frozen Brussels sprouts thaw overnight in the refrigerator, then reheat in the oven or air fryer until heated through.
  • EXTRA CRISPY: To make your Brussels Sprouts extra crispy, be sure to soak them in WARM water (after the prepping stage) for 10-15 minutes before draining and patting them dry. Then, add olive oil + seasonings per instructions.
