Ingredients

SEASONING BLEND:

  • ¼ cup lemon zest
  • 1 ½ Tbsps black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

TO MAKE THE LEMON PEPPER SEASONING BLEND:

  • In a bowl, mix together the lemon zest, black pepper, salt, thyme, garlic powder, and onion powder until combined.
  • Store seasoning blend in a tightly sealed mason jar or seasoning jar at room temperature.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

  • STORAGE: Store any leftover seasoning in an airtight jar or container and keep in cool, dry place for up to 6 months (for best taste) or at most---up to 2 years. It will lose it's potency as time goes on. 
  • LEMONY TASTE: If you'd prefer more of a bold lemon flavor, reduce the black pepper amount to just 1 Tbsp. 
  • GROUND BLEND: If you're not able to zest the lemon as fine as possible, you can always add your blend to a spice grinder for a better blend. 
  • BIGGER BATCH: This recipe makes for about 4 servings worth of this seasoning blend. To make a larger batch, feel free to double or triple the ingredients.
