Sticky Teriyaki + Maple Whole Roasted Cauliflower

  • 1 head of organic cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup vegan butter, softened
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp powered garlic

Teriyaki Maple Glaze:

  • 3/4 cup teriyaki sauce (Gluten-free version)
  • 2 Tbsps pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp mashed ginger (minced)
  • 1/4 cup organic brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp arrowroot starch + 3 Tbsps WARM water
  • sesame seeds, garnish


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. Season cauliflower with sea salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic, and butter, rubbing everything in until well coated.

  3. Place cauliflower onto prepared baking pan and cover entirely with foil.

  4. Bake for 30 minutes.

  5. Make teriyaki maple glaze in the meantime.

For Teriyaki Maple Glaze:

  1. Then remove foil and brush teriyaki maple glaze until entire cauliflower before returning it to the oven (uncovered) for another 15 minutes, until glaze thickens.

  2. Once the tops of cauliflower have browned, remove it from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Tips | Notes:

STORAGE: Cauliflower is best when served immediately and consumed. However, leftovers can be stored in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
