Honey Grapefruit Cucumber Tea recipe is a healthy combination of sweet, tart, and fresh cucumber flavors. Naturally sweetened, this tea serves great as a powerful dose of antioxidants, boost in digestion, and boost in your immune system. Can be served hot or cold, is easy to make, and perfect for any day or season, especially during the Fall season ahead. Vegan option available.
Servings 4 servings
- 5-6 fresh water
- 2 Medium Grapefruits, sliced (rinsed + unpeeled)
- 1 Medium Cucumber, peeled + sliced
- 1/2 cup Honey + more if needed! (See Notes!)
- sliced grapefruit
- sliced cucumbers
In a medium pot over medium-high heat, add water and let it begin to boil. Once boiling, add grapefruit and cucumber and boil for 10-15 minutes, letting it simmer after the first 5 minutes.
Once done, remove from heat + cover the pot with a lid so that it steeps for 10 minutes or so, allowing all of the flavors to fully infuse and be potent.
Once fully steeped, add in the sweetener and stir until well incorporated.
Pour tea carefully into mugs and add freshly sliced grapefruit + cucumber as garnish, if preferred.
Sip and enjoy!
STORAGE: Keep any leftover tea in an airtight bottle or mason jar and refrigerate for a few days. To serve—reheat on the stove top and enjoy!
SWEETENER: You can always substitute regular raw honey with vegan ‘honey’, pure cane sugar, Agave, or maple syrup instead. This makes for a more subtle sweet taste. For Vegan honey option—Bee Free Honee, click link.
