When it comes to this Carrot Ginger Citrus Turmeric Juice, the immune boosting properties are great. Made from fresh carrots, ginger roots, orange, lemons, along with the powerful combination of turmeric + black pepper (for better absorption of curcumin), this recipe is perfect for any day or season. Completely naturally sweetened, easy to make, and vegan + gluten-free.
Add all ingredients (leaving out the sweetener) to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth and ‘foamy’, about 2-3 minutes. **NOTE: You may need to divide batch into two to avoid 'over-flowing' of liquid in blender.**
Add in the sweetener (maple syrup or agave) and blend for another 30 seconds.
Once done, slowly strain juice into a pitcher, squeezing any pulp to ensure that all juices are extracted. **NOTE: If preferred, you can skip this step and leave pulp in.**
To serve—add an ice cube or two into prepared glass(es). Store any leftovers in the refrigerator, tightly sealed or in a covered mason jar.
SWEETENER: Instead of using Agave, you can feel free to use maple syrup or date syrup as an option.
STORAGE: Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator, tightly covered in your pitcher or in a sealed mason jar. Best if consumed within a few days.
SWEETNESS: Add more maple syrup or Agave for more sweetness if needed, 1 Tbsp at a time.
TURMERIC: For health benefits of using turmeric, see 'highlights' within post.
