Blueberry Ginger Lime New Year's Mocktails

Celebrate the New Year with Blueberry Ginger Lime Mocktails. They are fizzy, fruity and so easy to throw together with your favorite edible garnishes.

Ingredients

MOCKTAILS:

  • 3 cups filtered water
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup fresh blackberries, optional
  • ¼ cup freshly-squeezed lime juice
  • ¼ cup Agave or Honey
  • Ginger beer, for topping

GARNISH:

  • Fresh blueberries
  • Fresh blackberries
  • Lime wedges
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  • In a bowl, add the fresh blueberries, blackberries and lime juice, mulling (crushing) everything together until fruit are fully broken down. Add in the water and Agave and stir until combined. NOTE: Add additional sweetener depending on sweetness desired.
  • To Make Mocktails: Add crushed ice to glass(es) or flutes, Add 3-4 Tbsps of mulled blackberries/blueberries to bottom of glass, followed by ½ cup of mocktail liquid mixture and top with ginger beer until filled. For additional garnish, add fresh blackberries/blueberries, sliced lime, and rosemary sprigs. Repeat for every serving. 
  • Sip and Enjoy!

Notes

SWEETENER: Instead of Agave syrup, you can substitute with pure maple syrup or organic cane sugar as a syrup (sugar + water boiled over the stove top).
