Super Green Detox Smoothie
When it comes to this Super Green Detox Smoothie, it’s all about drinking your breakfast in one glass while getting a serving of greens at the same time. Great as a detox or a boost in digestion and immune system support; this recipe is completely natural, easy to make, and perfect as a meal replacer or as a way to kick start your day. All Vegan ingredients.
Servings 4 glasses
- 2 cups Almond milk (You can use your fave plant-based milk!)
- juice of a lemon
- 4 Tbsps pure maple syrup (See Notes!)
- 1 medium cucumber, peeled + diced
- 1 cup organic kale, de-stemmed + chopped
- 1 cup organic spinach
- 1/3 cup chopped celery
- 1 medium granny smith apple, peeled + diced
- 1 medium banana, sliced
- 1/2 jalapeno, diced
- handful of fresh parsley
Simply add all ingredients (in order as listed in recipe) to a high-powered blender and blend on medium-high speed until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
Add in juice of a lemon and sweetener (honey or agave) and blend for another 30 seconds.
Once done, add smoothie to prepared glasses and enjoy!
STORAGE: Keep any leftovers in the refrigerator, tightly covered for a day or so. Best when consumed right away.
SWEETENER: If you choose to opt out of pure maple syrup, you can always substitute with Agave as well.
SWEETNESS: Add more maple syrup or Agave for more sweetness if needed, 1 Tbsp at a time.
