When it comes to eating, I enjoy products that my family and I can completely love (full of bold flavor!) as well as products that are healthy and organic. Justin’s has been one of my Go-to brands, especially when it comes to their Almond Butters and Peanut Butters. Graciously, I am super thrilled to be expressing my love for this brand because I am first and foremost a devoted consumer of their products on any given day and secondly, this company is one of the few company’s that I wholeheartedly trust their ingredients. Ok, so I am super excited to have gotten an entire box of Justin’s products as a token of their appreciation for my love for them and I want to thank Justin’s PR Team with my utmost greatest gratitude! These products are awesome, Ya’ll! Honestly, I haven’t tried all of the products included in their line because it isn’t sold in many local places (mostly Whole Foods, etc.), however, I am now hooked on an extended amount of products since giving these a test-run and will make it a mission to locate the other great stuff that are sold by their company.
To start, my “Gift Box” included:
To be honest, I throughly enjoyed every flavor profile that each product offered! My personal favorites (and my little guy’s too!) were the Peanut Butter Cups in both Dark and Milk Chocolate. If you’re a lover of Reese’s Peanut Butter cups (like me!), then you’ll surely love these and their made with good ingredients, Ya’ll! Plus, my little guy loves the Honey Peanut Butter + Banana Chips packets. Who knew that Banana Chips taste so good with peanut butter? Hmmm. I’m a believer now! Besides, it’s a perfect “on the go” snack for you or your little one.
Anyway, I chose to experiment with all the flavors that were included and while I’m not a HUGE chocolate fan, I must admit that the Chocolate Hazelnut Butter was crazy good! It’s definitely a nice balance and it certainly made great waffles for breakfast! To top things off (and to offset all the chocolate), I chose to add caramelized bananas atop by sautéing 3 ripe bananas in skillet with 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/4 cup of honey, + 1 tsp of cinnamon and letting everything melt together until it was nice and bubbly. In addition, I was able to experiment with my favorite easy to make snack—-Energy Bites! It was bursting with bold flavors, especially since I used the Peanut Butter Cups instead of the usual chocolate chips. It’s a great snack or morning bite on a busy day and I recommend giving it a try. Plus, it’s great for energy and is packed with a ton of nutrients from the rolled oats, honey, ground flax seeds, and whatever else you decide to include (chia seeds, coconut flakes, etc.).
Chocolate Hazelnut Waffles + Caramelized Bananas with Peanut Butter Cups
This Chocolate Hazelnut Waffles + Caramelized Bananas with Peanut Butter Cups is the ultimate sweet treat to kickstart your morning!
- 1 3/4 cups organic all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsps brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 3/4 cups Justin's chocolate hazelnut butter
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 3/4 cups coconut milk (or your own favorite)
- 2 large eggs
- 3 caramelized bananas, garnish (optional)
- peanut butter cups, garnish (optional)
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder and sea salt. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl, whisk together the chocolate hazelnut butter, eggs, oil and coconut milk. Then add wet mixture to dry ingredients and stir with a spatula until well incorporated.
Preheat your Belgian Waffle Maker according to instructions and set on medium heat. Lift the waffle maker cover and pour about 1 cup of batter into center of the griddle, allowing batter to spread out evenly (avoid OVER-FILLING). Lower the lid and let it cook about 4 minutes (or according to maker's instructions).
Carefully transfer cooked waffle to a plate and repeat until all waffles are made. Garnish with caramelized banana slices and chopped peanut butter cups (optional). Serve immediately and Bon Appetite!
No Bake Chocolate Hazelnut Almond Peanut Butter Bites
These No Bake Chocolate Hazelnut Almond Peanut Butter Bites are an easy way to add a bit of sweet to your day, while keeping things on the healthier side.
- 3/4 cup Justin's peanut butter cups (chopped)
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
- 3/4 cup Justin's classic almond butter
- 1/4 cup organic honey (can also use maple syrup)
- 1/2 cup Justin's chocolate hazelnut butter (melted)
- 1/4 cup chopped cashews
In a large bowl, mix together all of the dry ingredients: peanut butter cups, rolled oats, and ground flaxseed. Set aside.
In another bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: classic almond butter and honey until well incorporated.
Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Then using a spatula, fold together all ingredients until well incorporated.
Scoop 1 Tbsp pf mixture into your hands and roll around into little balls. ***If the mixture is a little dry, add in a little more almond butter or honey to moisten***
Once all balls are formed, roll each ball into melted chocolate hazelnut mixture and then roll around in chopped cashews.
Place in refrigerator for 15 minutes or so to harden and enjoy!

Can be stored in refrigerator for no more than 3 days.
