This Citrus Honey Lime Mint Mocktail is EVERYTHING. I literally couldn't believe that experimenting with flavors got me such a delicious drink, ya'll.
But before I delve into this recipe, I wanted to be a bit transparent. Do you mind? OK, good.
It's been such a whirlwind these past two weeks. Some in bad ways and others in such amazing ways.
With the state of world and having a Pandemic within a Pandemic, things have been insane to say the least.
On one hand, my community (the Black community) has mourned the loss of so many people for centuries let alone in the last few years and at the hands of police officers, who are trained to serve + protect, birthing the BLM (Black Lives Matter) movement, which has sweeped across the Nation and other countries.
If you haven't done so already, I recommend checking out this list of awesome Black Social Justice Organizations to support during this time.
Then of course, you still have the Coronavirus pandemic which has gotten better in some states, but worst in others. So, to say that things have been crazy is an understatement.
On the other hand, God has been showing up so much more in my life which has bought about a ton of good, in the midst of this 'world famine', if I may call it that.
If you've been an avid follower of Orchids + Sweet Tea, then you're already aware of me being a follower of Christ.
Therefore, I hope that my transparency is something that you're able to digest.
Anyway, God has always been evident in my life. I didn't come from the easiest life, but He certainly has ordered my path, especially into this Food Blog thing.
Honestly, it's been such a ride and journey, some of which produced frustrations, but nevertheless, it's been rewarding to see many of you enjoy my recipes, re-create them, and make them for others.
I can't THANK YOU enough for riding with me on this Food Journey and for the many of you joining in now. I'm truly grateful for you and will continue to stretch myself to create unique recipes that you love and enjoy.
Now, because so many Black voices are being amplified, especially on social media, my blog has received more eyeballs which has turned into loyal followers and I'm even more grateful!
OK, so I just wanted to be a bit transparent with you. Now, let's talk about this recipe.
This drink is amazing, ya'll. I've made it a mission to build my drink catalogue on Orchids + Sweet Tea and since my drinks never contain alcohol, it's been a bit intimidating. Haha.
There are just so many mojitos and other alcoholic drinks all over the internet, that I've wondered whether you would care about a silly ole' mocktail, but you guys have been loving it, especially my latest Pineapple Ginger Turmeric Lemonade.
If you're into the Honey flavor of things, then this Honey Grapefruit Pineapple Thyme Mocktail is the definite way to go as well.

Now, let’s dig right into this recipe, shall we?
To begin, In a medium pot over medium-high heat, add water and let it begin to boil. Once boiling, add the mint leaves and boil for 5-6 minutes.
After 6 minutes, turn off the heat and gently stir in the honey, covering the mixture, and steeping for about 10-15 minutes to ensure that the mint flavor is fully infused and potent.
Once fully steeped, remove mint leaves and pour mixture into a medium pitcher and set aside.
To Make Mocktails: Add crushed ice to a glass, fill ½ of the glass with the Honey-Mint Syrup, then ¼ of it with orange juice, then followed by 2-3 Tbsps of lime juice and add sliced lime and mint leaves inside the glasses as garnish. Repeat for every serving.
Sip and Enjoy!
